The Longhorns played great from the very beginning of the game, showing us a team that we haven't seen for most of the season, as they are usually known as a second-half team.
As a result of the defeat and a bye week for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, the Longhorns moved up to No. 2 in the BCS rankings, while Alabama dropped to No. 3.
Colt McCoy had a great game, as did running back Cody Johnson, who is pictured below. Johnson was responsible for two of the Longhorns' five touchdowns.

This football season is making me so emotional. I'm beyond happy when the Longhorns win, especially when they play well as they did against the Cowboys, and the thought of losing a game and the hope of a National Championship makes me sick.
To complicate matters, my boyfriend of about two and a half years attends school at Texas A&M. So of course, every week we get into little arguments about football and which teams are the best, and who will win the Thanksgiving matchup between the Longhorns and the Aggies.
I will be in attendance at that game, and I can only hope that the score will be similar to that of last year's game, when the Longhorns won 49-9. Otherwise, I can foresee some serious problems in my relationship with my boyfriend.
This Saturday the Longhorns will play the University of Central Florida here in Austin at 11 a.m. Although this may seem like an easy game, the team should not write off anyone as an "easy" win at this point in the season, with so much on the line.
